NKDZ Caledonia LLC runs the quarry ledger from the S Grant St yard office in Mapleton, where dimension stone, landscape rock and crushed aggregate are cut, graded and booked before they ever leave the gate. The weighhouse dial sets the printed ticket, the pit posts set the grade, and the crib wall holds the sample blocks that prove what we sell. Delivery crews place stone on grade at the address the ticket names, so a wall, a stair or a road base arrives as specified.

Six ledger lines the way the weighhouse day book writes them. Each pit post names the working face, each grade panel carries the service, and each haul line records the stage a load reached before it was either stocked or dispatched.

Dimension Stone Cutting

We saw quarry blocks into dimension stone for cladding, paving, lintels and wall caps. The wire saw and the bridge saw work to a cut sheet, so every face is squared and every thickness repeats. NKDZ Caledonia LLC keeps a crib of finished samples at the S Grant St yard for inspection before a single pallet is loaded. Cut stone travels banded, labelled and protected so the edges survive the road.

Landscape and Wall Rock

Landscape rock comes off the stack in sizes that suit dry stack walls, garden borders and slope armour. We sort boulders and wall stone by hand so a homeowner and a landscape contractor both book a clean grade. Rock is loaded into the truck by the same crews that weigh it, which keeps the ticket and the load matched.

Crushed Aggregate Supply

The crusher produces road base, drainage stone, chip and manufactured sand to a stated screen size. Every aggregate lot is sampled and tested before it is stocked, and the test sheet is filed against the load number. Contractors rely on NKDZ Caledonia LLC for base that compacts true and chip that holds its colour.

Custom Stair and Coping

Stair treads and wall coping are cut to the rise, run and overhang a drawing calls for. We mill the joint face, dress the top, and match the batch to the surrounding wall so the finished run reads as one stone. This is the bench where a measurement taken on site becomes a cut ticket in the yard.

Quarry Block Sales

Raw quarry blocks are sold by the tonne or by the block for masonry shops, carvers and stone yards that run their own saws. Blocks are squared at the face and graded by colour, so a buyer knows what the saw will open. The yard holds a standing block crib for buyers who want to select in person.

Delivery and Crane Placement

Delivery runs on a booked window, and where a load needs setting rather than tipping, a crane places it on the pad. The crew works to the ticket, the grade and the drawing, then leaves the site swept and the paperwork signed. NKDZ Caledonia LLC places stone exactly where the plan calls for it, not simply at the kerb.

How the Yard Books a Load

A load begins as a booking and ends as a printed ticket. NKDZ Caledonia LLC takes the enquiry, checks the grade against stock, schedules the cut or the crush, then loads against the weighbridge reading so the customer sees the same number the yard does.

The Grade Stack

Four stone grades sit as sample blocks beside the dial so a buyer can compare colour and texture before a cut sheet is signed. Granite, limestone, basalt and sandstone each carry their own finish options.

Granite for hard-wearing paving and stair treads.
Limestone for light cladding and dressed coping.
Basalt for dark wall stone and heavy base.
Sandstone for warm garden walls and borders.

Grade blocks are cut from the same lots the yard sells, so the sample in hand matches the load on the truck.
